This is a fun, hands-on Art Taster course! A range of exciting visual arts sessions are provided, aimed at engaging young artists on a journey of discovery, experimentation and problem-solving. There are absolutely NO prerequisite skills and classes are deliberately planned to ensure all learning styles are supported- every child is an artist (Picasso)!
Return artists are most welcome! The open-ended nature of our classes and mediums ensures students can continue to come back, and enjoy different experiences and results each time.
Classes are limited to ensure individual, personalised attention and are suited to independent, school aged learners from Year 1 (6-16 years only please). The multi-aged nature of the group allows everyone to be a leader, a friend, a learner and an encourager. In my experience there are so many benefits to working with multi ages in small and supported settings, particularly when children share similar interests and passions. The forming of new friendships is a wonderful bonus of our term courses.
Alphabet Kids Art Studio is a fully equipped home studio, located in Frankston South. The studio environment is welcoming, and engaging - without being precious! We expect a lot of fun, a lot of colour and a lot of mess! Likewise, please ensure your child/ren dress appropriately. Smocks are highly recommended!
All materials and services are supplied (this may include but is not limited to; clay, glazes, kiln firings, resin, dyes, paints, sculpting materials including plasters, grouts, modroc, printing materials, waxes etc.).
Classes run from 4:00PM - 5:30PM over 8 weeks. A variety of fun, hands on experiences is offered each term. Clay is included in every Art Taster term course.
Course Dates: May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 & June 6, 13 & 20
Final Class: Tuesday June 20
Art Studio sessions are drop-off classes, with children encouraged to foster new friendships and work collaboratively with their peers. Please understand that as a mother myself, I am unable to supervise children prior to 4pm and ask that they are not dropped off early. Prompt pick up and your understanding is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
